The Come CloSeR to Disability Declaration
A pact for including persons with disabilities in the labour market
for modern business services
The mission of this agreement is conducting activities aimed at an effective and reasonable inclusion of persons from vulnerable and excluded groups as employees in the sector of modern business services.
The Management Board of the Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL) in Poland in cooperation with the Managers of the Future MOFFIN Foundation sets itself the following goals:
1) Disability awareness building among their managerial staff and employee teams;
2) Developing mechanisms which prevent discrimination and are conducive to the development and implementation of reasonable workplace adjustments;
3) Creating new opportunities for persons from vulnerable and excluded groups as regards their becoming familiar with the enterprises;
4) Further, taking into consideration Articles 27 and 8 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities as well as CSR standards and good practice, the Management Board of the Association of Business Service Leaders in Poland undertakes to develop recommendations concerning Polish legal regulations in that area. At the same time, we declare our willingness to engage in a dialogue concerning the matter with all the interested parties, both private and public in the knowledge that the permanent exclusion of such large social groups from the participation in modern economy is negative for sustainable development. The issue should be resolved in cooperation of and a broad agreement between a number of stakeholders.
In order to attain the mission of this agreement, the Management Board has decided to establish an expert Come CloSeR to Disability working group, comprising representatives of enterprises operating in the sector with a view to developing a platform for exchange of knowledge, experiences and information furthering an effective and reasonable inclusion of persons from vulnerable and excluded groups into teams in companies of the sector.
Detailed arrangements as to the division of tasks and responsibilities, including individual financial contributions from each of the entities participating in the initiative, shall be included in executive agreements related to projects envisaged for implementation.
This agreement is open to others who share its mission and the objectives laid down in the Cooperation Declaration.
